residence permit for job-seekers after PhD

Does anybody knows about possibility to get the residence permit after the PhD, the one that is usually issued for students for job-seekers for 6 month? Since on migri.fi this mostly relates to the graduate students graduating in Finland, does anybody knows if the same applies for post-graduates, particularly PhDs when the thesis is done?

If you finish your PhD you ARE a graduate student graduating in Finland. (The term 'graduate student' is mostly used for MSc and PhD students as well, even though technically you are a 'postgraduate student'.) Doesn't matter anyway, Migri refers to any kind of academic degree:

"If you have studied and completed a degree or other qualifications in Finland, you may apply for a new residence permit from the police or the embassy on the grounds of work after you have found a job."
