Working while Unemployment. paycut, double standard?

When you don't receive any penny as unemployment allowance for saturdays, sundays and public holidays, isn't it double standard to cut the allowance amount when you work on those days while unemployed ( or part-time employed)?

The social net is filled with examples like this. I hope they implement basic income and vastly simplify the system. With the current rules only working on weekends should at least in big part with within the 300 euro allowance to work.

I thought most calculations by KELA assume a 6 day work week. Saturdays are normally included arent they?

Never claimed unemployment but for example parental support is based on a 6 day week (and for that you can work on sundays without it affecting your payment).

so you mean the current rules say if you earn less than 300 euros per month working on weekends? IMO you mean working anytime but earning upto 300 euros per month?

If the person works part-time on weekdays, the allowance for the day that he worked will be deducted ?

For recipients of an adjusted unemployment benefit, there is an exempt amount of 300 euros. You can earn up to this amount per month before taxes without suffering a reduction in your unemployment benefit. Please tell us your earnings while unemployed even if they are less than the exempt amount.

The same limit is available for other types of unemployment benefits.

You are mixing something up. If you are in unemployment benefits you get x amount per 4 weeks regardless of holidays. Its "per day" because of short term stuff.

That's what I am saying, its per day basis and when you fill up the form and inform the daily report, if you write In-Work instead of Unemployed, then are you entitled for the allowance for that day?

By your calculations, I'd get amount for 20 days for 4 weeks regardless if I was on part-time work somedays in the weekday?

No.

Youll get that if you dont work. If you work, regardless of weekday, its deducted from pay. By my "calculations" is exactly what i said, holidays dont matter. Work matters.
