Job offer term

Post by joy1234 » Tue Feb 10, 2015 8:31 pm

I recently got a job offer mentioning "Työsopimus on vähintään 90 h/ 3 vko". Could someone please explain me what does this mean?
Kiitos!

The minimum of working hours the employer has to offer to you is 90 hours over 3 weeks. IMO it is 30 hours per week if they look every 3 weeks ahead. This gives you more security then a 0 hour-contract.

I think it is pretty standard for the restaurant business. You will be given your schedule for three weeks at a time. Every 3 weeks you get a new schedule. I can't remember how the overtime works, but you should get double pay for Sundays even if it is inside the 90 hours.

Remember to join a union (eg PAM) !
