Studying Swedish in Turku
Studying Swedish in Turku
I was looking for a place to study basic Swedish in Turku. I want to graduate to be good enough to pass the YKI test in Swedish. I heard that Swedish should be much easier than Finnish to learn. I found that there are some centers that provide specific YKI preparations in Finnish but not in Swedish. Do you guys have pointers?

Not especially hard to find; Google "Swedish class Turku", second hit: http://www.infopankki.fi/en/turku/life- ... e-in-turku

Or walk into Luckan and ask them. They probably have a list of all the Swedish courses available in that area.

Their webpages are not particularly helpful (even the font is weird) but at least in the Helsinki office they are very helpful, dynamic and welcoming.

And your name-calling is a sign of a true gentleman. Learning to search for information is much more useful than just expecting others to spoon-feed that.Cory wrote:You can be a cocky SOB. Why even bother to respond?
There are at least some, unsurprisingly you just can't.Cory wrote:I looked at your link and couldn't find specific schools and/or courses that would hold Swedish lessons for beginners.

I agree with Cory on this one. I expect the OP had already found that "infopankki" (not) page and given up. Usually when someone posts a question on here they are not just asking for links (as you point out, anyone can google) they are actually asking for some value-added advice such as a **recommendation** from someone who may have been there and done that.FinnGuyHelsinki wrote:Not especially hard to find; Google "Swedish class Turku", second hit: http://www.infopankki.fi/en/turku/life- ... e-in-turku
@kaukuli - Luckan is a good place to start. They will DEFINITELY be able to tell you if there is a YKI prep course available in your region, even if they are not running the course themselves.
