where I can get these baby items

Hello everyone,

I just arrived in Tampere city few days back. My wife and kid will come next month.
Is there some shop where I can get all the items for babies.

Baby Cot/baby bed
Diapers - Pampers, Huggies etc
Wipes - Pampers, Chicco etc
Feeding Bottles (Pegion, Avent, etc)
Bottle Brush (For Cleaning Bottles & Nipples)
Sterilizer & Warmer

Also, is gripe water avaliable in Finland, if not is there any alternative.

Go to one of the big supermarkets just outside the city centre and you will find almost everything in one place:

For the cot you could try Ikea. Not sure about the stroller/walker.

No gripe water, unless some ethnic stores stocks it. Ask the pharmacy for what they would recommend for whatever issue with your baby you would want the gripe water for. For instance, if the baby has gas in the intestines you can use Cuplaton drops.

Like Rosamunda said, most larger department stores will have most of the stuff. There are also stores for childcare items, google for instance for "Tampere lastentarvike" (Tampere child care items). One store would be Lastentarvike that has a store in Tampere at Harjuntausta 1 (you can zoom in at the map in the link).

There aren't either any specific baby detergent. Most detergent brands have no-parfume detergent for sensitive & allergic skin, and there are also a couple of specifically sensitive skin brands like Mini-Risk, Erisan, and LV. Check for words like "sensitive" or "herkkäihoiselle" (for sensitive skin), or the Allergy and Asthma Federation logo on the pack.

Toiletries (soaps, shampoo, creams etc) are all more expensive here than in eg UK, USA and many other EU countries partly due to the VAT and also the exchange rate (eg £/€) so tell your wife to bring as much as she can if she has an unlimited baggage allowance. And the same is true for parapharmaceuticals and things like cough medicines and vitamins.

May be I will visit these places and find out more before the kid is here.
