I don't think anyone in Finland can help you do anything.
I suggest you keep calling that number and talk to someone higher up the chain, if there is no record of her having applied. Does your wife have some kind of documentation that she applied? If she does, then use that when you call. If there is a record of her having applied, don't constantly call, just wait. You'll p*ss them off otherwise.
Or is it possible it's still in a queue waiting to be processed? Maybe sometimes the processing is quicker than other times. If it's a residence permit, expect to be waiting a whole lot longer than three weeks. Try months and months, possibly.
All the best.

Depend on your deeds - seems you never have done anything good in life
Sure it depend what status you possess while in Finland - mean - student/working - RP/B or A - how many months/years you have lived here. etc etc, if someone says the RP/Visa processed at any FIN-Consulate is two week or less process - don't give yourself false hopes - that was the case some years ago at FIN Consulates mainly within EU.
It is a peak time and summer - load of new applications for students that they must do on priority - There is an update by Migri at there website about processing - backlog of family ties appls.- summer vacation - lack of staff because the staff is occupied answering applicants about the status etc etc

Shouldn't the student RP rush happen later, when the decisions about who gets accepted have been made?caster wrote:Depend on your deeds - seems you never have done anything good in lifeSure it depend what status you possess while in Finland - mean - student/working - RP/B or A - how many months/years you have lived here. etc etc, if someone says the RP/Visa processed at any FIN-Consulate is two week or less process - don't give yourself false hopes - that was the case some years ago at FIN Consulates mainly within EU.

Thanks for the replies guys.
I have received my resident permit in 3 weeks as there was requirement to work here. So I had false hope. But I think my dependants will take time as summer is coming.
Now I heard someone who had applied before 1.5 months were waiting and waiting with no details were there and suddenly, one day they said its approved and will get it in a week.
Hopefully my turn will come soon.

So it's a visa, which is for visiting, and by no means a residence permit? Residence permit applications can easily take 5 months depending on the background.
