TAMK results confused! HELP PLZ

Hi there!
So I already got my acceptance letter from my second choice UAS 18 days ago . However, I was told to wait for decision from TAMK (1ST choice). I still haven't got it. On the website, it says results will be published on 3rd of July. I haven't found anything from passed years so I have no idea where exactly will they be published. There is a letter sent by the FNBE on 3rd July to students by post do they mean this letter ?( I'll get that 5 days later probably and I have residence permit to apply for) So any ideas or suggestions ?

You are most likely put on a reserve list.

It purely depends on how many applicants will accept their study place at TAMK As well as your number on a reserve list. If you are #1 you may be lucky, however if you are on #20+ unfortunately i doubt it. It may be all will apply and take their study place, which means you cannot be admitted anymore. Or, somebody will decline their study place, which is usually very unlikely for TAMK because it's one of the popular UAS in Finland.

You also have to find out what is your position of a reserve list is.
You can find that out by contacting TAMK admission office.

I have red some of the information about this year's admission. As far as i understood, you are on a reserve list until 12th of August. However if you accept a study place now of your 2nd place, you cannot longer be admitted to TAMK. This applies to a Finnish law of one person per study place/semester. However, if you will not take your study place at your 2nd option by 17th of July, you will lose your place, but you still be on a reserve list to TAMK and other places you have applied to.

Ok thanks for the info. Does TAMK send a denial e-mail or something before they send the letter by post? I'm worried that I'd have to wait 5-8 days before I get it where I am. I'm fine with my 2nd choice. I just wanna know where I stand because of the load of things I have to do.

I did a bit more digging and you can actually accept your 2nd place conditionally. Basically it means you will have your 2nd option and you will accept it, but you will hold a reserve place for TAMK. If admitted, they will send you an e-mail to you. You will have 2 weeks time to accept/reject that student slot (Be sure also to check your junk mail). You can do this via studyinfo.fi.

Unfortunately that's all i know, sorry. I already got in last year, so this year admission process is slightly changed.

I already knew the bindingly thinggy just didnt want to do it
Have too much to do
And Tampere is a relatively big city
It might be difficult to find a place to stay if I get accepted later on
I wanna know where I am headed, my budget etc...

So this year TAMK had some issues due to the process being unified with the ones for UTA and TTY(as they're unifying the three institutions, the project is called Tampere3 if I remember correctly) but I can tell you I know few people who got in and already got their letter/e-mail, so if you didn't get you either didn't make it or are on reserve.
I'm pretty sure of it, because I was tutoring at the exams and followed up the situation(curiosity is a bad beast). I'm referring to the Media and Arts DP, I don't know which course you applied for.

Contact the office, they are probably open all summer.

The unification doesn't have anything to do with the UAS admission processes. It's just this year UAS and Universities are working together under the same admission.

I heard of Tampere new University unification between UTA, TAMK and TUT , however there have only been talks and agreement made between these schools. They still have to make it legal and this is done with the Finnish government which is estimated to be issued and finalized by 2016 (because of bureaucracy). The unification itself is estimated to start between year 2018-2019. Keep in mind you also have to build the new University first, which adds additional years. I've red that from Pirkanmaan Sanomat.

TAMK answered my e-mail and MAMK decided to send me additional information anyways two weeks ago.
I didn't get into TAMK but I was close though. So I guess it'll be MAMK for me.
