Overhead or in-ear sound quality

Post by maple » Sun Sep 27, 2015 8:45 am

I am looking to buy good sound quality speakers that completely block the external noises. I plan to use them with my TV or occasionally with laptop while watching a movie or songs etc.
I have seen these two on groupon

I cannot say if they are good or bad products. Anyone can recommend me some good quality speakers and where to buy from. The budget is €200 max.

I think you mean headphones/earphones and not speakers.

I have some Shure earphones and they do block noise (I use them when flying). The key is the foam part that you squeeze with your fingers and then put it into your ear and then they swell up like earplugs do. This is the only type of earphone I've found which really does block noise. The foam parts don't last forever but you can buy replacement packs and there are different sizes for different sized ears.

The above is actually my old pair and I have SE535 now but based on the links you gave they are out of your price range

http://www.thomann.de/fi/sennheiser_hd2 ... hoerer.htm those were my daily users for some years. Sound was great, noise dampening was the best that I have ever used. Only downside is plastic construction. If I was on the market for a closed back headphones with sound dampening, I'd probably go for hd380.
