Help! advise needed
I came into finland with my family 8 months ago and I seek for a political asylum, and I have been given a permit of work, and I have been working for 2 months and 2 weeks now, but the police want to deport me and my family back to Italy, because my asylum was not accepted. However, it was the same police that gave me the working permit, and I have been working for 2 months and 2 weeks now, so what will I do?

It seems like you were fingerprinted in Italy, which means that your asylum application is going to be processed there. Italy is a safe country and you will not be granted asylum in Finland, so keep that in your mind. The system is working fine; this is to prevent "asylum tourism".
Now, plan B: Depending on your work and how much you're earning, you can try to apply for a work-based residence permit with the help of your employer. This way, you'll stay in Finland legally and earn your living. Additionally, the right of residence will extend to your family after they make the appropriate application. Your working permit was only valid while your application was being processed.ogheale uwubiti wrote:However, it was the same police that gave me the working permit, and I have been working for 2 months and 2 weeks now, so what will I do?

Thanks for the advise, but I will like you to throw more light on the area depending on my work, because as at the moment I earn more than enough to apply for my permit...

You're under a "work permission" kind of scheme; It's not a work-based residence permit.ogheale uwubiti wrote:I will like you to throw more light on the area depending on my work, because as at the moment I earn more than enough to apply for my permit...
Let's discuss two points:
- The type of work you're doing: Work-based residence permit applications are subjected to certain market-related conditions. For example, if Finland has a lot of carpenters, then foreigners applying for work-based RP working as carpenters have a very low chance of being accepted.
- The amount you're earning: Since you won't be granted refugee status, this means family reunification relaxed rules exclude you. So your family situation is subject to the immigration family rules. Your main concern here is secure the amount required to support your family in the eyes of the immigration services (exact numbers here http://www.migri.fi/moving_to_finland_t ... equirement)
