My neighbors have loud sex and make noise every weekend

Hello everybody. I just moved in my new ppartment one month ago and I could perceive some "strange sounds" (you could guess) coming from downstairs.
I would like to know if there is any kind of law that can be on my side due that irritating episode. I became stressed everytime I listen to them. Is not at all nice.
I write them a warning letter yesterday and...let's hope they will be more "silent" next time

Please if some of you have had the same problem, please tell me what you did. Kiitos

If they are having loud sex then play Benny Hill them in full volume, and leave home for a walk.

It is normal to have sex. Thus the sounds made during sex are normal sounds that happen when you live normally. Don't listen to them?

Hello. I know it is normal to have a sex life too but at least try to respect other neighbors by having it a little bit lower. You know, there are people who are working even on weekends (waking up at 5 am) which sucks...trust me

I had a tantrum kid next door in one apartment. I moved. Not enough sisu yet

You could try bring it up with your landlord/-lady. But honestly, no one else but you is responsible for odd time-tables. The hours you can expect some sort of quiet are often found in the contract, or at the main door of the building. If the noise is outside the hours of quiet you will be hard-pressed for arguments.

I would be curious to hear how the story continues, since writing letters is often NOT the way to go in Finland, IMO. They need to see that you are an honest person of integrity. See, as in see, not read.

There isn't really anything to do you can do regarding "noises from ordinary life" category. Earplugs are probably the best advice (personally a found the silicon "christmas tree" model fairly well working during night).

According to this people could never have sex at a normal noise level, there could always be sb who has to get up early, had a night shift and sleeps during the day, etc. If it annoys you too much get some ear plugs. There will probably have been times you also annoyed other people with your sex life.

I understand but what I am wondering if is there any low or something which say that after a specific time (on weekdays and weekends) you cannot make noise whatever noise is.

As per the rules people have to be reasonably quiet from 22:00 to 07:00. Reasonably in the sense that you are still allowed to live normally, you can walk around, use the facilities, watch tv, if all of this happens at a normal noise level, and children are also more or less excempt from the rule.

But what noises do you hear? Moaning and soft banging of the bed? That's just normal. Loud animalistic cries, rustling of chains, sounds of whipping? You can try to report it to the police and/or housing company.

But beware, you might start a war, and the neighbors could easily complain about you, true and not quite so true things.

I totally know that this is anyway part of our lives but honestly, sometimes makes you so frustrated especially if you need to wake up early in the morning!!! I write them a warning letter anyway.. Fingers crossed

Yell animal noises loudly while they have sex...maybe if they can hear you going MOOOOOOO while they're bumping uglies they'll get the point. Yes I did that and yes it got more quiet after that lol. (I was 21 and immature...)
