Hi,
I have been in Finland for 9 months now and it's time to renew my residence permit. Since I have to travel to my hone country in July, I need to receive my permit quickly. So, I made an appointment in the Pudasjärvi police station to deliver my documents. Since I live in OULU, I was wondering if it's OK to deliver my documents in another city. I was able to make an appointment in mid May, while in Oulu I should have waited until the end of June.
Thanks
Permit Extension.
Re: Permit Extension.
They're legally obligated to serve you, take your application, etc. but it doesn't matter where you submit your application; it always goes back to your home immigration office and enters the queue there.
Every case is unique. You can't measure the result of your application based on arbitrary anecdotes online.

To be more clear I assume Beep_Book here refers to the fact that they must serve you with a queue number if you just show up. It does not have to be fast.Beep_Boop wrote:They're legally obligated to serve you, take your application, etc. but it doesn't matter where you submit your application; it always goes back to your home immigration office and enters the queue there.

Thank you very much. I have an appointment there and I would not show up without one.
