About car service

Hei guys. I bought a 2010 VW golf which was 67000km in june 2015. I dont drive much and now it's about 73000km. I dont know about cars. It was serviced last time on march 2015. so when do I need to go for service? Normally how much does it cost in the offical VW service place?

Most relatively new cars (2005 and later) have a service schedule of about 15k km or 12 months (oil and oilfilter, air filter and some quick checks), whatever comes first, about 150 euros. (independent huolto asema)

every 20k or 30k or 24 months a big(ger) service job (incl change of f.e. brake fluid etc.) about 450 euros.

Of course this greatly depends on the car and the driver

Iirc VW has longlife oils, so you need to have your oils changed latest march 2017 or at 30000km. And it wouldn't hurt to check how much oil you have in your engine. 0,5l/1000km is still within acceptable level for oil usage for newer VWs
