Re: Student looking for a job in Vaasa
What kind of job? What are your skills? What are your qualifications? What can you do?
Lesson #1 when you come to Finland: When you look for a work, make sure to explain all of the above. Otherwise, people won't take you seriously.

Every case is unique. You can't measure the result of your application based on arbitrary anecdotes online.

Okay so when I say job for students I meant partial time, like distribution work or whatever.
My skills could be useful if I could speak Finnish or Swedish, but this is not my case.
I can speak french fluently and I've been working with a loads of companies in both commercial and customer service * French belge Canadian British *
I've heard that students can apply for work at posti for example.
First question is that true? And how can we apply for that

You can apply for work anywhere. Go to the Posti site. Google it.
You still were too vague.

Why do you think your skills can only be useful if you speak Finnish? Who told you that? Also, being bilingual isn't really a skill.Zakariaelb wrote:My skills could be useful if I could speak Finnish or Swedish, but this is not my case.

What can you do? Can you cook? Can you write Java? Can you do QA testing? Do you know how to make cocktails? Do you have experience with construction work? Can assemble electronics? Are you good with dogs? Do you have ability to teach French? It's like you don't know what 'skill' mean. Skills, man.. skills.. things you can do that others might find useful.
And yes, you can work for Posti. How? Well, step #1 is use your brain. It's literally first Google result if you search for "posti jobs" http://www.posti.com/careers/
