Hei,
my husband is employed in Finland but will mostly work from home in Germany. We spent months wading through contradictory answers from both countries about which will pay social security contributions. Still at it. For tax it will be Germany. Men and kids, who will live in Germany appear not to get covered at all by Finland.
For now, I was wondering what the respective contributions would be in either country (pension, health, unemployment insurance).
On an annual salary of 45000 and monthly 3800 gross, FT.
Germany per month: Health (319e), pension (355e), care (44e), unemployment (57e). Monthly total is 776 Euros. But this also includes health insurance for the rest of the family.
Any help for calculating Finnish social security? And also, does anyone know whether the Finnish employer pays the same contributions to social security abroad as it would within Finland? A German employer would contribute around 830 Euros / month
Kiitos

Update
never figured out what social security contributions in Finland are.
But we did eventually figure out which country is responsible for home-office work in another EU country. If you spend more then 25% physically present in your country of residence doing home office then this country is responsible for social security. In that country you and your employer have to apply for an A1 certificate (ETK in Finland, DVKA in Germany etc), which gets assessed and then the relevant authorities in both countries get notified. The employer´s contributions go directly to the country rsponsible for soc security. It took us a looooong time to find this answer, so hopefully this is useful to anyone else looking.
