I would suggest using a Finnish removals / art transport company that specialises in Finland <-> EU/UK/Swiss/Norwegian work, and which has vehicles in Germany on a very, very regular basis

Holzach to be exact. To store it there until we find a place of our own . And time frame is open to suggestions. Just within this year we would wanna move. Need to know how much approximately it will cost to plan our moving forwardPJG wrote:Germany is a big country.

Was talking to some german transport companys the other day. And they said to me it would be around 8000-10000€ for Ger->Fin.Niwesh wrote:PJG wrote:... Need to know how much approximately it will cost to plan our moving forward...
So I guess it'll be quite the same the other way round.

That's so many times more than the cost of a removal in either direction - I just can't think what to say. Even full service moves for a big family are going to be a fraction of those prices, even to the very south of Germany.

Really? Well I just asked them out of curiosity. They said 8000€ for 30cbm, transport, loading and unloading.zetorpilot wrote: That's so many times more than the cost of a removal in either direction - I just can't think what to say. But it all depents on the actual shipping volume.

It sounds to me like they really didn't want the job then, for whatever reason. I'd have expected a figure on one side or other of about 3k, it depends on factors like how well the location fits with other jobs (the full truck and trailer takes about 90cbm), if local help needs to be hired or if a colleague is going to fly out, or if the customer is able to assist the driver with loading and unloading, parking permits, etc etc.mykds wrote:Really? But, a firm that specialises in this kind of work, and which has several vehicles constantly on the move backwards and forwards to and from Finland, will always be able to offer better rates than one for which a job like this would be a one off.
Re: moving from finland to germany
Thanks for the advice Zetorpilot. Will keep that in mind
