I am planning to apply a visa for my family based on family ties.
With so many gossips on the strict requirements of bringing families to Finland, would it be a plus on my wife's application if she finds an employer?
Let's say that we have found an employer, what are we or the employer suppose to do?
In filling the UVI 101 form; under section 1(grounds for the residence permit) , do we have to cross both marriage and employment?
Or just cross out marriage ?
Would it be possible that my wife gets a job even before she arrives in Finland?
With the employment guaranteed, will their application for a residence permit based on family ties be an assurance that they will get the permit?
thanks

I moved here on an employment permit since those seem to be much more favorably looked upon. I was hired in advance of moving there (you can't come to Finland looking for a job and stay without going back). The employer takes care of the Finnish side of the paperwork and you have to go to the Finnish embassy in your area for your side. The process takes around 3-6 months and you have to wait for it to be completed before you can go. They will place a work permit in your passport so you also have to give that up for a few months while they process it.
When I left my job, I stayed on with a residence permit based on my marriage. That's another 2 years to process, 100e+ a year to renew.
