Hi, I am doing my master study in a University in Finland, and I am going to apply for the extend of my residence permit. My problem is, I may only get 20 credits in academic year 2017-2018, but I already get about 70 credits in year 2016-2017 (so more than 90 in total, from 2016 to 2018 on my transcript record). Will there be any problem for my extend of residence permit ? Because I heard that I have to get more than 40 each year...

I had a similar situation, and I asked my university department to write a letter proving that I am working on my thesis, and that estimated time when it is ready is XXX. And it was enough.
But it was 4 years ago, I don't know whether the rules have changed since then.
