Voting right!?

from the document migri sent me:
You also have voting rights in your home municipality.
Seriously? That means Helsinki, Espoo or Vantaa city council etc? 8)

Why did I find posts citing 2 years minimum staying? but no such restriction on the document.

UPDATE: I found on infofinland.fi:
you are a citizen of any other country and turn 18 on the election day, at the latest. In addition, your municipality of residence must be the municipality in question 51 days prior to the election day, at the latest. You must also have had a municipality of residence in Finland for a continuous period of at least two years.
But is infofinland.fi official? Are there some better source of related laws in Finnish?

And it's odd that a foreigner resident can be a candidate :D

finlex.fi is the source for Finnish laws. Not all laws are translated, so maybe easier to browse in Swedish.

Visa is for visiting, Residence Permit for residing.
