Can anyone tell me what are the changes for the new EU countries´ citizens moving to Finland after the 1st of may 2006, when those ´restrictions´are over
I live here for a while already...partially here in Tampere with my bf, partially in Latvia. We never had any need to get me a KELA card or what so ever, but it might be that after summer I will have to stay here more and then I will have to go through all the procedures of making my stay here all the official...getting the address...get to know about health care.

So I was thinking if there is still any need for getting the long term residence permit...or they have made it much easier

After the 1st of May 2006

You need to get the EU-residence thing done still, but its now just a formality as if you were any other Punch or Pierrot (or should I say Judy or Dulcinella )....

For KELA you need to be resident/working for a while.
