Edmonton won!!!!! :D Please tell me you didnt miss that game? I predicted a 3-0 win for them, and it came so close so many times! But Im definitely not complaining about the 2-0 win haha. Roloson was brilliant! And same goes for the Oiler's penalty kill, I cant remember how many short handed breakaways they had, what an exciting game! Now, my greatest apologies to Selanne, but its time to eliminate the Ducks 8)

You really need to get watching the Championships, atleast one or two :P I was surprised at the tie too, but Sweden seems to be doing very well. Not that Ive watched one of their games lol, but the results speak for themselves. Canada wont have problem with them though  I better watch what I say..Im still on a high from the Oilers win, I gotta calm down...haha

Id love to tell my boss that, but I really need to keep this job!

I have a Oilers jersey, bought by my ex Canadian girlfriend in Calgary. Since Kurri, Tikkanen, Greztsky & Co., Oilers has been a special team for me in the NHL.

However, I hope Selänne will win the Cup, and that means rooting for Ducks.

(Canal+ is supposed to cover those play-off games, and I'v watched some games, but their program info sucks major way; There's no way to know which game they show on which time, other than opening the channel and check if a game is on... )

Haha, no. Ive never been to Edmonton nor do I own an Oilers jersey (w/ Beaver lol).

So I know the thread is 'Selanne is amazing' and dont get me wrong, he is, but you really should rethink cheering for the Ducks  I mean, they arnt going to win anyhow, so it would be a big disappointment in the end, just thinking of you, thats all. It wont be nice :P

Ahh no!! I missed it, I was just in Ottawa, and completely forgot to watch the game! Well, Selanne's still awesome, but there's no way in heck that I'm cheering for the Ducks. Oilers all the way!

And...Canada lost in the bronze medal game. That's a little embarrassing. Lol but I did see a little bit of the gold medal game (even though Canada wasn't in it!). Anyways...go Oilers! :P

I cant believe you missed it! They are playing so well, and Roloson, wow, what can I say! Seems the flu is spreading through the team though. I hope it doesnt get worse. I think we'll be just fine, the next two games are at home now, it should be exciting :D Why were you in Ottawa?

Yes I saw we lost to the Finns.. 5-0 lol. Id rather lose that and take home the Stanley Cup though! The Finns won the Eurovision Song Contest too, that was pretty cool!

Haha, I finally saw another Oilers playoff game tonight! Well...part of it. But it was still awesome, and I was getting rather nervous at the end when the Ducks were coming so close! Wow, was Roloson ever a good trade deadline pick up for the Oilers! He's been a rock back there, it's fun to watch. Oilers are up 3-0, I can't wait for Game 4! It'll be an exciting one. I won't say the "s" word in fear of jinxing, but man I hope the Oilers can take this series soon!

And I was in Ottawa visiting relatives...and they're Sens fans. What could be worse? Lol joking. Yeah, I'm still kind of hurt about losing in the Olympics, but Canada doing well in the World Championships hardly matters compared to a Canadian team winning a Stanley Cup. I'd rather it be the Flames, but Oilers are just as good! But Sidney Crosby was named forward of the tournament, which is good for his career. Wow, I think he'll be unstoppable once he gets older! Ovechkin too! The future of the NHL looks great :).

OILERS WIN!!!!!!!!!! 2-1...wow, was that ever an intense game! Anaheim had a 6 on 3 there at the end. Good thing their power play was dismal this game!

And that means that Selanne is out of the playoff hunt. He's probably kicking himself for not scoring enough to keep Anaheim in the series, but it's not Selanne's fault. I think they just underestimated Edmonton, and the Oilers badly outplayed them. :) But I do sincerely wish Selanne a great off-season!

It definitely feels great to have a Canadian team in the Stanley Cup finals for the second season in a row, and a team from Alberta nonetheless! I can't wait for the finals to start...I hope Buffalo can take out the 'Canes though, because I don't want another southern American team having a chance at winning the Cup. Until the finals start...go Sabres! :D

It was all about goalies in this series. Bryzkalov (or whatever his name is) failed, as Roloson flyed.

Apologies mate, saw the flag and assumed otherwise. Geez, they came so close, it just doesnt seem fair after all those wins. But I gotta give it to the Canes, they played brilliantly... But man, so did we, and without Roli too, Markkanen was great coming in when he did, atleast I think so. Where are you from?

Teemu is in Finland..Saw him on Saturday pushing a shopping trolly around the food section of Stockmanns in Tapiola.
One young boy asked for his autograph which he obliged with.
But while signing the boys card his trolly blocked the way for some old gent who was obviously not an Ice Hockey fan. Many mutters which were not "moi Teemu tervetuloa kootiin" but began with few V words...
People do not become more irritable as they grow old - they simply stop making the effort to avoid annoying others.
