Hola!
I'm a latino here and get ready for some bad-ass cultural shock. Sin embargo, is not that bad...Hank! didn't know 'bout your spanish-learning intentions, should have known from before!
What 'bout que piernas tan bonitas, a que hora abren? Sometimes kind of works...

But hei cuban dude, welcome to Helsinki and hope you enjoy your stay up here

thanks,
I already met some latinos and spanish here, but I actually prefer the chicas, they are amazing! :) I could only say they have a lack of this 'latino body move' isn't it? I look at the way they walk, some of them just like robots..
but they are very sweet and openminded, in my opinion, not so problematic as latino girls..
I'm already more than a month here, and I can say I've been lucky, following the advices in this forum I found a flat just near kamppi, and I already registered myself and soon will get the famous kela card to keep on study finnish..
thank u all for the forum, it's a very useful tool to newcomers..

Beware of the HBS.

When it comes to body moves, there are various dancing courses where they practice latin and other dances. And competitions are held in the biggest cities.

Still doesn't help; they just don't have it. The guy where I go salsaing
at is always yelling at the Finnish women not to clod hop and that this
is not an aerobics class .

Sounds like herd of elephants in there .

That's Barcelona for you :D

Just like registering at the university, which requires you know what
classes you want to take, for which you need the official book of classes,
for which you need to have registered for school that year

Fortunately there are ways of getting around that type of bs ;)
