Speechless!
Anyway, Becks we love you!

Agreed 110%, vicar, but on a more profound level, is it "about football" any longer? I mean, generally speaking. Beckham's £££$$$ value to Real (and to some extent United) far outstripped his importance on the field, simply because of his brand image and the number of column-inches and facsimile shirts he shifted in Singapore and Thailand and parts east and everywhere else. More or less regardless of whether he did the business on the field. And he is only the most famous poster-boy for similar trends throughout a game that has been hijacked by institutional and other shareholders who see a football club as a nice little earner. Or not, of course, in the case of people like Roman A.rev. green wrote:I don't love him, he coasted for my team in his final 2 seasons, and then when he accidently got a boot in the head off the gaffer, he acted like the big fairy he is, with his head band, parading his wound to the media, whose attention him and his stick insect witch of a wife seem to covet so much.
I hope they slip up next weekend and Barca take it. Then he can go and make sure he never gets to 100 Ingurland caps by playing in the Major <chuckle> league and his pet stick can go and be another nauseating hollywood celeb.
Later Becks, you could have done much better, if you'd kept it about football.
True the Beckham horror show certainly seems to generates cash from retards. I'd take a Keane, Giggs or a Scoles playing football ay my club over a Beckham anyday though. He was always 4th best in a 4 man Utd midfield even at his peak.otyikondo wrote:Agreed 110%, vicar, but on a more profound level, is it "about football" any longer? I mean, generally speaking. Footballers on the front (rather than the back) page of the redtops are almost a necessity now. Beckham and Stick fit the bill perfectly.
Discuss.
A bit like R Carlos a few years back.rev. green wrote:He's a great crosser of the ball. But if the left back is good enough and doesn't give him any time on the ball he's out of the game.sinikettu wrote:Becks only real skill is to be able to "bend" free kicks accurately, on some occasions.
If you think thats unbelievable listen to Alexei Lalas http://www.allheadlinenews.com/articles/7007686151ajdias wrote:oh, but did you see the rags? It is as if he won the championship for Real Madrid*
There are a lot of stars in European football who would struggle over here.
