Dealing with Finnish Winters
Dealing with Finnish Winters
I was wondering if anyone had advise for dealing with the finnish winter.
I am not so concerned about the cold, I like it in fact, long as there is snow, the rain becomes annoying after awhile, but that goes for anywhere in the world for me.
My question is more about dealing with the lack of light and the depression and lack of energy that seems to follow it.
I take a multi-vitamin every morning, and try to drink milk where I can, but that is about all I know about dealing with it.
I also try to excercise and take walks when the wind isn't too bad or there isn't räntä falling from the sky.
However, any other advice for dealing with it a little better would be good.
I have noticed despite doing what I have already stated I often find it hard to remove myself from the bed in the morning, and I have nearly no energy in the mornings either.
This might just be the way things will be for me in the winter, and if so I will adjust, but anything that might help I am willing to try.

Very observant. Now there is another one. Whee!mCowboy wrote: There's many posts about this subject.
Was thinking about that one.karen wrote: Get a bright light or natural alarm clock. Light therapy works wonders. There is a recent thread on that.
And the comments about the sauna I hadn't heard before, didn't think it would help much with this but I wil try it.
People don't want to answer the same questions over and over again... that's why use the search. So get your lazy fingers to work with the search button.Fain wrote:No.mCowboy wrote: Use the search, Luke

Also with that snooty attitude, you're not gonna get many answers in the future, since there was an active thread about this like two weeks ago.

Get in there...
