I think the word you're looking for is surreal...

I think Sammy, Cowboy and EP can answer:
"Hello, hello, hello. Where is the cat?"
Oh, I remember that - it was somehow such an exiting programme, even a bit scary for a small boy. Would be nice to see a rerun!

Ok Eili's asleep now.

'In fact for the reason that it was such an effing obvious answer to anyone who knows a Finn'

Calm down Karhunkoski, I thought that it was the Finnish verbal equivalent of a masonic handshake, a way Finn's could recognise each other abroad.

Where is the cat?

The cat is on the mat.

No, the cat is in the moon.

If you're not Finnish of course like COBHC, you'd say, 'In the moon, what d'yer mean mate, the cat can't be 'in' the bloody moon, are you an effing nutter?.' Then the Finn thinks, 'Gosh! This must be another jolly silly Englishman that cannot speak his own language properly, I think I shall avoid this persons company.'

*'I'll rip that of the DVD as a present and you'll have Eili forever traumatised'*

Gosh! That would be jolly decent of you, I could listen to that while the dinosaur was 'in' my foot.

:D :D A few Finns have actually been a little confused when i've told them that phrases like "It don't matter"** "i didn't do nothing" and "i didn't say nothing" are bad english.

I finally translated it to them as "en sanonut ei mitään" and "en tehnyt ei mitään" and only then they realised how bad it was.

**Couldn't translate that one to Finnish and make it grammatically bad. So in the end i just said "it do not matter" and let them hear how bad it sounds.

Some might say i have a habit of deviating from the topic :D

Wasn't Neil one of the founding members of the world's nothernmost cricket club in Helsinki years ago? I remember him saying to that effect in the 70s or 80s.

No mention here though: http://www.crickethelsinki.com/

There was also a kind of a corridor scene where they just kept ending up where-ever through the doors which was quite eerie too. Excellent to know that it's available! I haven't watched it since though there have been short clips every now and then on various tv shows.

And finding the pieces of the puzzle and thepictures on the wall becoming alive... The animations are quite monty pyhonesque... I don't know what was the exact target audience age, but at age 5, I was hiding behind the couch.

The witch and the wizard were really scary...
