I'm sunburnt and tired as heck, so I think the Finland-Germany match will have to wait for the morning recaps. I'd loved to see how the Finnish team (un)performs. Germany is also interesting though nothing these days compared to what they were in the 80's.
The games so far have been "slaughters", the only titillating one has been Belarus-Sweden. Finland Germany *should* be a "slaughter" as well, but I have this "they'll be a clusterf* in the first game" scare gnawing... Finland-Norway on Tuesday is a slaughter or I'll eat a dried cod, first interesting one will be against Slovenia on Wednesday... Other games I'd say the Czechoslovakia-USSR, I mean Czech-Russia on Monday and Canada-USA on Wednesday should be interesting. Also its very nice scheduling the Finland games are 22.30... Italy-Denmark ought to be fun to see disney on ice too, but thats scheduled 2am and I'm not *that* much of a sports fan.
So, anyone else following the game? What teams will make a surprise? I haven't had a chance to see for example the Swiss or the French play... I was hoping Latvia was getting there...
Belarus is definitely up there on my "worry list" the way they are giving the Gladstone Ganders hard luck...
