Huh, since when is Wiener Schnitzel Hungarian...
Since there was once a state called "The Austro-Hungarian Empire".
Now you can find it everywhere there's hungarians or austrians.

Of course, it's popular also in Czech Rep. and Poland, for example. Which doesn't change the fact that it is the most traditional AUSTRIAN dish and it was "invented" long before the AT-HU empire. It actually has its roots in Italy.

And i honestly could not care less :D

We learned how to make it in Romania from the hungarians, maybe during the Austro-Hungarian days, maybe even earlier, who knows - so i always associated it to the hungarians - even though i know perfectly well that it's austrian, and it's from Wien, considering especially that it says so in its bloody name.

So i listed there my most favourite foods that i associate with hungarians, foods that you can find probably everywhere there are hungarians.

Of course it's popular in other places also, it's a delicious dish that's pretty easy to make - heck, probably they eat it even in America, although under who knows what name ("Freedom Schnitzel" ? "Freedom Meat" ?).

Seriously, why do you feel the need to be so nit-picky - it's not like your correction was vital or something, i don't think anyone would actually make the mistake of confusing the origins...
