Prd in czech means fart. Also good

Re: English language & IT
it means if I'm not mistaken: A mole farted through the turf, having first devoured a handful of seeds.p19 wrote:m.a.x.i.m wrote: Also not so bad - "Prd krt skrz drn, zprv zhlt hrst zrn"![]()

Hu! Yes, it is, but it is so modified to look funny, that any czech would understand it as it is.m.a.x.i.m wrote:it means if I'm not mistaken: A mole farted through the turf, having first devoured a handful of seeds.p19 wrote:m.a.x.i.m wrote: Also not so bad - "Prd krt skrz drn, zprv zhlt hrst zrn"![]()

In usual czech it would by said:
Usual: "Prdl krtek skrz drn, zprvu/prvně zhltl hrst zrní"
Yours: "Prd krt skrz drn, zprv zhlt hrst zrn"

Re: English language & IT
By the way, I found that I also can read the text in Russian - "Перднул крот сквозь дёрн, сперва сожрав горсть зёрен " Looks like our languages are quite similiarp19 wrote:m.a.x.i.m wrote: Also not so bad - "Prd krt skrz drn, zprv zhlt hrst zrn"![]()

Re: English language & IT
Yes, you didn't know that? But some things may be misleading.m.a.x.i.m wrote:Looks like our languages are quite similiar
For ex.:
ru: krasnij = red
cz: krásný = nice

It's funny, I didn't know that, but is really interesting I understand most of the text.m.a.x.i.m wrote:Do you understand this language http://www.slovio.com/

Thats almost like poetry...
Island, hay-island, hay-island's bride.
in Swedish:
ö, hö-ö, hö-ös mö.

Something wicked this way comes."

On another hang, Java is far from serious language, all freshgrads do code Java (at least they think so). To be demanded, you should be expert in C++, asm, RTOS, or other heavy stuff.
It is true. If you are expert in Symbian,QT,Linux embed,MOSS you can pack your things now. you can also get job in Java but you cant demand salary....you may ended up with <= fresher salary.

There is no open positions for Symbian developers this month at all. And keep in mind, that some times ago Nokia got fired a lot of Symbian developers, so situation in this area is not very optimistic
Re: English language & IT
You may be right...I was asked by consultants last month if I know any symbian experts from outside Finland. I heard Nokia moving to QT apps and Linux but not sure.
