....Personally, I try to avoid meat, but for carnivores this actually looks quite reasonable for a healthy start to the day...and no trans fats. However, it doesn't say what other "preservatives", etc. might be in there...and it doesn't say if this is just for the USA, or is the same throughout McD's world empire....

And I agree that it's wise to be careful with processed food....some of the "chemicals" that are used seem rather scary...though I'm sure many of them pass through the digestive tract without any problem...but how do we know?....and who can you trust with the research?... I noticed in this morning's news, yet again, some fraudulent research...the British study regarding autism and childhood vaccines.....

That site only shows the 'no egg' version - and only covers calories.
Missing seem to be salt, sodium and preservatives contents - rather significant part of the avoidance of processed foods.
Indeed probably the biggest thing to watch out for is salt (and nitrates/nitrites.)

And so far as the taste of the item goes - I think it is the egg that 'makes it' - it's nicely surprising that McD's uses fresh eggs in Finland.

Yeah - that sure is a lot - but am sure it's all coming from NaCl - possibly some monosodium glutamate - other processed foods are at least just as salty to my taste so it must mean there's a ton of other stuff out there that put GDA stats into the stratosphere.
Surely all the 'makkaras' will 'qualify' and a lot more stuff. Had some packaged 'graavit kirjolohi' - and cold it tasted real salty - but as was a bit fishy also - I decided to fry the rest of the pkg - WOW - it was so salty when warm that almost inedible! (salt taste being more pronounced when food warm or hot)
(Jozo has a new salt on the market - 70% less Na - too bad food processors don't start to use it)

Burger King, KFC, McDonald's, Wendy's and all of them, beware of the sodium content!
And then there are all of those bad fats which you should not eat too much of.

Just today, this morning, and on your suggestion, I went to a McDonald's and had a sausage/egg McMuffin, for the first time in at least twenty years. And, by golly, it actually tasted quite good! It was much, much better than the 1980s McMuffin that I remembered.
However, each of those tasty sausage/egg McMuffins includes about 850 mg of sodium, about 1/3 of daily allowance.
Just today, this morning, and on your suggestion, I went to a McDonald's and had a sausage/egg McMuffin, for the first time in at least twenty years. And, by golly, it actually tasted quite good! It was much, much better than the 1980s McMuffin that I remembered.
