Does it mean there will be less opportunity for immigrants to find job?
For the most part at least, they are more worried about the immigrant's that don't have, and are unlikely to ever have jobs (and then those hired in ways violating established minimum standards).
less international students will get admit to universities?
We don't even have new government yet, but it might. There is another thread in "studying in Finland" with more about that topic...
much more trouble to come to Finland and establish life here?
If we are talking about paperless so called refugees, I personally certainly hope so.
More worse, it is about the general attitutes for immigrants who are currently living in Finland will get negative.
I don't think so. Pretending that problems do not exist, will not in long term lead to good result either.
People start to be more racist and rude because they feel they are doing right thing.
I have seen no evidence of that.
While I was talking about my worries with friends, some of them told me that: it is nothing about immigrants who are now in Finland. It is rather to against new refugees from north Africa, who are now grouping in Italy and eager to flee from there to all other European countries. Myself quite doubt about it.
First of all, despite the fact for
some of the PerusS candidates immigration has been the top theme, overall the victory was more about other issues, particularly about screwed up state of EU and Euro (Both something that PerusS and Mr. Soini have opposed since beginning) and scandals related to election financing. The outgoing prime minsters advocated several policies against wishes of their traditional base, while (apart from small up tick at the end of the campaign) the main opposition party, social democrats where totally unable to transform the discontent against the old government to their support, and so lost an election which based on history one would have expected them to win by landslide.
As for the immigration itself, most of it has been about "humanitarian immigration" where most of the people coming here don't actually qualify with refugees and show poor integration after even longer time. I mentioned earlier already some issues related to the other immigrants and I recall having seen at least some PerusS candidate also commenting that a large Russian minority (especially with one with double citizenship) maybe a long term security risk.
People start to accept the result ...
At least I'm happy that is no Burma or Sweden, so when a new party wins an election, the automatic answer from established leaders is not "People made a wrong choice, we must do something to correct THEM".
