Pay per hour and holidays

Post by goldfire » Tue Nov 13, 2012 3:25 am

I have a general question about wages. [IT sector]
Say a person's contract is based on an hourly pay basis and not monthly basis, what are the rules on:

- annual holiday days (how many holiday days, and how much hours does a person need to work per month to earn those? )
(I know 2 days/month is the norm for monthly wages)

- holiday pays (minimum work hours/month to get full pay)

- public holidays, sick leaves (how does it factor ?)
(it seems a bit not fair that monthly contracts get those payments )

- what are the ups/downsides from employee/and employer perspective in regards to having a hourly pay contract vs monthly contract

Thanks for the input!

2,5. 2,0 is only for the first year.

14 days or 35 hours.

They are calculated from the average pay. You don't need to go over certain hours/days, but less hours/days = smaller pay.

public holidays = tough luck, sick leave = average pay.
