I guess he'd better find a finish, any finish, pretty damn quick. Sigh, where's a finish when you need one?
As he persisted, I was obliged to tootle him gently at first and then, seeing no improvement, to trumpet him vigorously with my horn.
Re: marraige
thank you all my people, for you helps and opinions, I've got the Resident Permit A, just today. Please help me, what to do next?
Re: marraige
I expect the only option that can succeed is to find a job for which you have special qualifications.cboy wrote:thank you all my people, for you helps and opinions, I've got the Resident Permit A, just today. Please help me, what to do next?
The permit may be cancelled once your ex-wife's police report reaches the right bureaucrat. Who knows how soon that will happen? Or maybe it will not be cancelled, for one reason or another.
But before it runs out (is it a 1-year permit?) or it gets cancelled, you will need to have a job offer that lets you apply for an employment-based work permit. That is not just any job. It is a special job for which you have special skills that are in short supply, even if maybe the special skill is only the language you speak natively. If the job requires someone who speaks your language, that might work. But the employer must be willing to help you get the employment-based permit.
I do not believe that marrying another Finn would get you a new permit. The authorities would look at your previous very short marriage and conclude you were only marrying to stay in Finland, and they would deny a new permit. If you are going to get a marriage-based permit, it will have to be in a different country.
You should probably be making plans to leave Finland by your own choice. It is better to leave on your own than to get deported. If you are deported, that will prevent you from returning anywhere in the EU. If you decide to stay illegally, go to a bigger country with more people from your native land. Finland is one of the hardest countries in the world for illegal immigrants to hide in.

Re: marraige
Does one need any special qualifications when one is already in Finland with another permit?AldenG wrote:I expect the only option that can succeed is to find a job for which you have special qualifications.cboy wrote:thank you all my people, for you helps and opinions, I've got the Resident Permit A, just today. Yea you're right not before the divorceNot before the divorce
Re: marraige
To extend the permit? They will ask if the grounds still exist.Upphew wrote:Does one need any special qualifications when one is already in Finland with another permit?AldenG wrote:I expect the only option that can succeed is to find a job for which you have special qualifications.cboy wrote:thank you all my people, for you helps and opinions, I've got the Resident Permit A, just today. If not, and if he applies instead for an employment-based permit, doesn't he have to meet the criteria for that kind of permit without considering the grounds that once existed for a different kind of permit?
Sure he can work now at any old job, as long as the marriage-based permit remains in effect. But such a job wouldn't protect him from deportation once the permit expires or gets canceled, right?

Literally the guy gets to keep working as long as he has submitted his new application for an employed person.http://www.migri.fi/working_in_finland/changing_jobs
When you apply for a residence permit for an employed person and your old permit is still valid, you may continue to work in your old professional field even if the decision on your new application has not been made yet.
So he could submit that just at the end of the 1st years family ties RP and still stay and work.
6 months of normal work history goes a long way as credentials regardless of the type of job(except those jobs that are ruled out by the TE office)
Ofcourse TEM054,taxcard ,pension payments needs to be shown. The employer can show a very detailed analysis as to why he needs this guy.
This guy can make it through the details and become a citizen, all he needs is a good job.
Re: marraige
First go to Maaistrati to get registered and get your id number. Then when you get that one, go to KELA and register there for having your social security. After that go to the employment office, http://www.mol.fi/, they will help you get a job and give you around 700e per month until you find one. Don't worry about your residence permit getting cancelled while is valid, it's not true. The only thing that could happen is that if you are not married when your permit expires, then you won't be able to renew one. So try to find a job or another Finnish to get married. Even if people in this forum don't like the idea, they won't be able to deny your next permit if you live with your wife, even if it is a new one. Also, after getting your id number, go to the police and ask for an ID Card, is about 50€ but it will be the only real ID document that you can get in Finland. Good Luck!

Hello all, now i have the RP but the cool down will be end in few months from now, and If i have another Finnish, can I apply for the 4 years RP or I have to apply for a new 1 year RP again? please help i need your answer thank you
Re: marraige
So after marrying a a Finnish citizen and getting a permit and getting through a divorce you'd remarry and apply for another permit - and you'd want to know if that is for one year or four years?cboy wrote:Hello all, now i have the RP but the cool down will be end in few months from now, and If i have another Finnish, can I apply for the 4 years RP or I have to apply for a new 1 year RP again? please help i need your answer thank you
Frankly I do not know if that is con considered a "new" or "old" reason (I'd guess the first one), but I strongly think the question would have little immediate importance as you'd be spending a while appealing through the courts the rejection that you had got.
