If you are taking driving lessons in English at Teekkarien autokoulu in Helsinki, check that the grounds for invoicing are valid, and be aware that you know what the basic price includes and which lessons are paid separately. We experienced an unpleasant surprise of needing to pay extra without knowing it in advance. In addition they tried to invoice one extra lesson twice even though it was already paid for and they had the information about the paid lesson in their system. Hopefully it was only a misunderstanding, but we still felt that something went wrong... Also be ready to push them even to get the included driving lessons booked in a reasonable time. Customer service seems not to be very good in this place.

Dragging up an old thread, but did the original poster (if you're still around!) manage to get some motorbike training in English and if so how did it go?

I'm looking for similar, preferable in the Espoo area. Current license has class B,C1,D1,BE,C1E,D1E. But no class A1 or A :| I passed my driving test in the UK so long ago that the small bike permit was granted by default. But it disappeared when I changed license to a Finnish version...

Hi, I went here: http://www.autokoulupaananen.fi/

The instructor had reasonably good English and everything went well. I can recommend it. It's in Helsinki though (Töölö).
