There are two things here:

1. Do you really need to tell her about this now? Just keep waiting until you hear something about your RP. If it's a positive decision, then just continue your life as usual. If it's a negative decision, then you can tell her.

2. If she goes !"#¤% and your relationship will be in danger when you tell her about an honest problem you're having, or share with her you concerns and feelings about your life situation, then is she the right person for you?

Think about those things and make up your mind. It's not really that difficult.

A (recent) girlfriend isn't a grounds for getting a permit anyway.

The only way she could help is ny getting married with you, and my advice for her would be not to do it (not now, and not for THAT reason)
