I got a request from Migri to provide consent to them to order original yki language exam document, and submit copies of all my grades from language courses. Has anyone experienced the same? I took a Swedish test and passed all area with 3. Is this sth i should concern about?

What make you think they ask of these documents? Were you sending them emails? What must have happened for them to ask these? Do you have a clue?

I only heard from peers that once you submit a pass yki test certificate they have no right to deny you citizenship with language requirements.

I’m not sure. But I guess it was because I didn’t speak Swedish when I went to migri appointment. And yeah I did self-study and hire private teacher from italki so I have no grade to submit to them either. I don’t understand why should they ask such things?

They have not yet made a decision from application submit 2021.My wife also Finnish and we have discussed about the waiting period what kind a investigation blab blab.

It is just an excuse I know 4 people who applied after me in 2021 who got it already. I applied in June 2021 ans still waiting. What you can do is just be patient they will make it one day

I am already EU’ctizen. What I don’t understand What Migri says and What people saying here wich one is talking to truth anyway for those who said they get the decision already it’s just unbelievable feelings for me.

I applied in the beginning of June and my application is still processing. I’ve known someone who apply mid June and already got decision since February. So there is no apparent reasoning how this process goes.

You must prove your mean of support by either showing kela benefit or unemployment benefit if you get any. When did you apply for citizenship application? When your current permit expires? You can only face issue if not working only applying for residence permit. The citizenship just requires to show proof how you survive in Finland while not working.

Any news from anyone? Anyone got a decision recently?

Just some updates.

1. My female friend from Belarus got her decision (positive) she waited 9 months and 21 days since verifying her identity. 6 years lived in Finland and employed the entire time. No marriage.

2. Second female friend from Russia got her decision (positive) she waited 10½ months since identity verification. 5 years in Finland, employed almost the entire time. No marriage.

3. Third female friend from France got her decision (positive) waited 11 months and some days since verifying identity. 9 years in Finland with on-off employment. Married and with 1 child who was born in France.

5th month of my application processing. 14 years in Finland, employed for at least 12 of those, and numerous (over 40) trips overseas for work and other reasons, non-EU country and not on 'the list'. I don't check the queue number or anything anymore. Just wait patiently.

A friend of mine got a positive decision after waiting for 5 months 11 days. I didn’t believe her when she told me, not until she showed it to me… I’m still speechless, what are the odds.

You'll get declined. As the reason for your A permit is no longer valid and you need a valid A permit to get citizenship. Your employment situation needs to be stable the entire time through living in Finland and during the time in which you wait for a decision on your application. Your A-permit most likely will also be declined. All of this information is clearly written on Migri's website.
