It took a bit less than 7 months in general. Been in Finland for almost 7 years. First 2 of them with B permit as a student, the rest with A.
I am now absolutely convinced that it is completely random, the order in which these are processed. Interestingly, I was also told just today by Migri that the minimum processing time is 7 months. So that aligns with you getting your answer.
In other news, I also tried this:

Hello everyone! This adventure concluded successfully for me today. I submitted my application in early June of 2021. Two days ago, my queue number was 20xx. People surrounding me with queue numbers still have applications awaiting the queue. I arrived in 2013 as a student (B type) and subsequently shifted to A type in the last four years, although without a high income. Someone wrote that his letter to Migri demanding fast processing may have been why he received the decision. I followed this recommendation and requested a quicker procedure. First, I emphasised in Finnish that I had previously waited a considerable amount of time and that this impacted my life. Second, I stated why I must visit my home country, and I cannot make sure when I can return to Finland.
I wrote my letter, approximately 300 words in perfect Finnish and provided extremely good arguments as to why I would like my application processing time sped up.
I got an answer 1 hour and 5 minutes later from Migri, (I have removed personal information below):
Hei [redacted]

Kansalaisuushakemuksesi odottaa, sillä hakemusten käsittely on pahasti ruuhkautunut. Hakemusten odotettavissa oleva arvioitu käsittelyaika-arvio on tällä hetkellä 7-26 kuukautta.

So with this, I can confirm that they:
1. Actually checked the status of my citizenship application
2. Actually checked all of the documents I submitted on my citizenship application, as they could clearly see that I recently uploaded a copy of my new passport and responded individually regarding all of them (though I did redact some info from the message I posted here)
3. Actually checked and entirely read the attachments in the email
4. Actually wrote me a specific reply that was completely personal to my situation (though again I did redact most of it)
5. Seemingly refused to expedite the processing of my application
So I can say that it is incredibly unlikely that the other guy (d12 a few pages back) actually got his application sped up
because he contacted them. Likely it was just a coincidence. I arguably have an even more serious reason to need to have it sped up to leave and they just told me above "then leave if you need".
I requested an email read receipt and I got my email opened 57 minutes after sending, and the reply after 1 hour and 5 minutes since I sent it. So it took the person 8 minutes to check my citizenship application and email attachments and then write the above reply.
In any case. There really never has been any alternative other than just to wait.
