how long does it take to get a Residence permit ?

[I dont know how is the vacation period in Finland.. but dont they have backups or the whole finland remains closed during the month of July If that is the case, then I am pretty much surprised.. ?

First of all my deepest thanks to everyone in this group.. This is amazing.. The site was too much of a help...

Let me tell da good news !! Last Wednesday I got my VISA stamped...

Although I am still in India....(That is because of the company processes and friday was a holiday over here in India) Today I am not gettting flight ticket.. and same case for tommorow..

But hope day after tommorow I should be able to fly to finland....

I am in particular very thankful to lal Chandran, he helped quite a lot in this matter and took some time from his "busy" schedule even to call up the embassy...

Hope to have a good time in finland..

Any suggestions from anyone, while coming to finland..

Another thing which is problematic is that I can carry only 30 kgs of weight.. Only my clothes I weighed it yesterday, They itself are consuming 35 kgs...

Dont know how much i will leave over here in india..



and hey frndz I will be there in Helsinki....and hope to keep in touch later also.. .. anybody needing anything from India, I will be glad to bring it..

And I am taking this flight BOM- Amsterdam -- Hel.

and I am still not sure about the two weeks medical policy..

Btw, I had my medical test done over here from the company.. Everything is OK..

I am too fit to work.. had the complete body checkup..

I didnt find Finland that tough...

I am currently in Finland in helsinki... and found the weather cool.. atleast better than India..

Though this country is a bit costly.. and vegetarian food is a problem..

but slowly, getting into the groves.. and knowing ways over here..

Today have been to the sea side, the city center, the STOKMANN, and other places..

Surprisingly people close their offices at 4:00.. In India there is no time constraint..

I have some couple of questions again..

Firstly, My mom wishes to come over here... On which visa should she apply ?

Secondly how much time she can stay.. and is there any process in which I can speed up her coming up over here..

And I would like to have a house in Finland.. I mean a rented one... I am alone currently, so any one can suggest where should I go ?


And the last one, Can I travel to other coutiries in EU.. ? like germany and other countries... Is this visa Fine I mean the WP, for finland..?

And how much time and what is the best mode to travel to Germany and how much will it cost travelling to germany ?

Ah.. that's a lot of question..
