1 question about: Neuvola ?

Post by Samer2010 » Fri May 17, 2013 7:54 am

Hi Forum,

I heard that most of the Terveysasema have a special section called "Neuvola" for pregnant mothers and kids where they do all the necessary check-ups for the mothers.

My question is: How much does a visit cost?

Thanks !

If the mother is KELA insured, nothing.

(if not, I've got the impression that the policies vary from place to place)

I thought you couldn't use Neuvola if you didn't have KELA coverage? You have to go private?

I recall somebody here would have said in places they may allow also non KELA coverage (for maternity check ups), but otherwise i would have said the same too.

As far as I am concerned, Neuvola is free.

Best to ask at your local health centre, just in case!
