Electricity microgeneration/ Finnish import and Export.
Electricity microgeneration/ Finnish import and Export.
Long story short, I am looking at returning myself to Finland and need to be financially stable before doing that. I have the ability to buy Solar pv panels and all associated equipment at much lower prices than they are available in Finland. Who knows anything about the sale of solar pv equipment in Finland and does anyone have pointers in exporting to Finland from another EU Country in which I have an established business, Also have Finnish residence permit, bank account, phone number etc. Thanks in advance.

Re: Electricity microgeneration/ Finnish import and Export.
Your looking for an associate to setup sales and storage before your return?
Re: Electricity microgeneration/ Finnish import and Export.
If I wanted to buy a solar panel and found them available in another EU country cheaper than Finland, I would do what I always do: order it myself. What would be your added value as the middle man?
Apart from that, there is nothing to stop you exporting solar panels to Finland and selling them here. It's up to you whether you set up a subsidiary of your business in Finland or not. If you do, then it would be a B2B export (so no cross-border VAT). If you don't have a business here and you do direct sales to private individuals (ie not businesses) then you would have to charge VAT.

Cors, no I am not looking for an associate to setup sales and storage, As I have enough connections to facilitate what I want to do, and Rosamunda, that´s the key, whilst you could buy them in another EU country cheaper than in Finland you won´t be able to buy them cheaper than I should be able to supply them due to agreements I have in place with the manufacturers of the equipment. In a nutshell I believe I can sell them in Finland cheaper than a Finnish supplier can even buy them. I plan to sell to installers (business)rather than to the public so I believe there should be no cross border vat between me and my customer.

Re: Electricity microgeneration/ Finnish import and Export.
It is the final customer who decides whether or not the price is right (including VAT) and if there are too many intermediaries between the manufacturer and the consumer, then it's unlikely your panels would be any cheaper than anyone else's. You buy from the manufacturer and take your profit, then you sell to the fitter who is also going to take a profit: at the end of the day it's unlikely the final customer will get them cheaper. Besides, if I were in the business of selling & fitting solar panels I would probably want to buy direct from the manufacturer - it's quicker (delivery, paperwork, payment), easier (warranty, returns etc), less risky and, long term, has got to be cheaper. As a middle man you would be the one taking cash flow and even forex risks too.
Anyway, what are you waiting for? Sunshine?

Your page has Kuvaus, under which you mainly sputter English.
Get it properly translated ASAP.
You make pages with Finnish, make sure it is Finnish you write. Just copypasting English makes you look lazy and unprofessional.
Also, having storage status show always "999" looks questionable. I am guessing you mean that you get as many as are ordered, but to Finn they assume them to be amount of devices YOU have in YOUR possession. Not amount you could order from your contacts and eventually get. If you do not have stocks, then state straight that it is something that is ordered from elsewhere as required.

To the OP.
My old acquaintance, a Finn, is running a solar panel installation business in Vaasa, Kokkola area.
If you think you can beat the competition in panel prices, please provide me your quotes and other details like size, manufacturer....etc.
I will forward the info to the guy.
You may use PM if you wish.

Tiwaz, thanks for your constructive thoughts, yes the item descriptions should be in Finnish, an oversight that will be changed. As for the sitemap I don´t understand enough about websites to comment on that but I do see the error, I´ll have the web designer look into it. I have also flagged the 999 in stock as I never liked that idea either. thanks.

Re: Electricity microgeneration/ Finnish import and Export.
Masao, I will pm you over the weekend but for the moment he can get prices from the website or contact Jukka or myself through the website if he has a particular product he would like a quote for. I´ll be in touch soon.

Have you obtained software to make invoice and send list? Decent software that remembers your deliveries etc is priceless IF webstore software can't provide it Specially when you start working out taxes.
Oh yes. Your English side has opposite problem. It tells me in description "minimitilausmäärä 10kpl"
And manual is called manuaali. Same on front page slides. Text in Finnish in English version. Go through website and doublecheck languages. In many places they mix.
Ah taxes... Do lentoon vat/ALV percentage and if it is included in the price. Since you only sell in web best make the store really polished.
Re: Electricity microgeneration/ Finnish import and Export.
aguiness, what CMS did you use to build your web page - if you did it yourself?
if you have problems with internationalization, i might be able to recommend something better.

Re: Electricity microgeneration/ Finnish import and Export.
Hi Tuttu, I have no Idea, a friend of a friend built the website for us. What improvements would your suggestion bring?

Re: Electricity microgeneration/ Finnish import and Export.
nah, it's pointless if you're not actually involved in the content management process.
some cms are just better with internationalisation, or generally better and/or easier to use.
but i know next to nothing about e-commerce, so.
