Any applications from late March or early April still waiting for processing? I haven't heard anything yet from my application. I am starting to worry. Please, if anyone is still in this position let me know.

I have been waiting since April 5, diary number 30xx. I sent a question to migri, regarding the processing times, but I haven’t received a response.

Hello everyone,

After reading posts here for almost 2 years, finally it is my turn to share the good news.

- Application submitted online on 7.3.2023
- Visited service point and got case number on 8.3.2023 (case number 18XX)
- Application moved to stage 2 on 13.1.2025
- Final decision received on 20.1.2025

It took in total 22 months and 13 days. It was definitely not east to wait for a long time without hearing anything from Migri. Good luck to everyone who is still waiting for the decision.

Congrats!! Very happy for you. Did you ever ask Migri about the processing time of your application? and have they given you the standard 31-month reply?

Thank you so much Kissukat! I asked Migri several times in 2023 and 2024 by both email and phone calls. Most of the time they only gave me short and general information as shown on the website Only one time in 2024 a ylitarkastaja in Migri replied to my email and gave me a general estimate that the process will start at the end of 2024.

I finally received my positive decision today, this thread really helped me a lot and cleared all my confusions whenever i had any.

19.03.2024 application submitted (had no need of visiting)
20.03.2024 got my diary number
30.12.2024 application went to stage 2
27.01.2024 received positive decision at 8.05am

Although this was the most stressful waiting period of my life but finally it is over.

I finally received my positive decision today, this thread really helped me a lot and cleared all my confusions whenever i had any.

19.03.2024 application submitted (had no need of visiting)
20.03.2024 got my diary number
30.12.2024 application went to stage 2
27.01.2024 received positive decision at 8.05am

My question regarding people who has international protection status. At Migri website they say that expected time by law is max 12 months for those who has international protection. But I'm wondering does this apply to those who has applied after 1st of October? Does anyone have any idea?

On average, refugees wait around 30 months. They can still use many reasons to extend 12 months. A new rule usually applies to new applications.

This doesn't make sense at all. It means that people who have applied after 1st of October will get decision sooner than the ones applied before 1st of October. I dont get the logic and not fair at all

Today I got positive decision. Non-EU citizen. I came to Finland to study with B permit and then continue with full-time employement (A permit). I have been living in Finland for 8 years

08/04/24 Got diary number
27/01/25 Application went into processing
28/01/25 Citizenship granted.

When i emailed them some weeks ago they told me my case should take 9 months, so pretty much now.

Still waiting and no progress in the application
Anyone among EU applicants in late April got a decision or call for extra info already?
