Re: Nettitullaus category

Thanks.
The suggestion to use 4911910000 was just right.

Nettitullaus category

Hello,

I ordered a printed poster from US and now I got a letter from itella/posti about customs clearance.
I'd like to use the 'nettitullaus' service but I was not able to find the right category for posters. I haven't found any 'julisteet' listed in the more obvious groups I checked from.
Does ...

Re: Olive Oil

And here is EU Commission Regulation (EC) No 1019/2002 that defines 'marketing standards for olive oil'
i.e. what should be written on the olive oil bottles (with english + finnish text side by side):

In this old thread: viewtopic.php?f=9&t=32614
you can see e.g. the names of Helsinki metro stations 'translated' to English

Re: Nokia + Microsot Good or Bad for Finland ?

By the way, how did that Mikrolink Oy - Microsoft relationship ever turn out in the end? Or was it Microlink with a c, I can't quite remember.
That's what worries me the most about this 'strategic decision' (oh BTW, shortly before this announcement Nokia did confirm
to still have a 'strategic ...

Re: Nokia + Microsot Good or Bad for Finland ?

I have a feeling the really Nokia-esque thing to do would be to move beyond mobile to a new industry like next-generation light and power. That's basically what Kairamo did. I don't see Elop doing anything like that.
I agree. Unfortunately in nowadays Nokia boards are sitting too many North ...

Re: Nokia + Microsot Good or Bad for Finland ?

In any case the current unemployment problem will be exacerbated - 'let go' Nokia-ers will certainly create a surplus of techfolks on the labor market.
And apart of likely thousands of Nokians that will be 'let go', there is also a consistent amount of medium and small companies that currently ...

Re: Which is the best Broadband service provider in Espoo ?

If you are looking for 'high speeds' :D ask specifically to ISPs whether they offer that speed for your area
(not all Espoo is the same).
I started with Elisa about 4 years ago, but they could not guarantee anything better than 2Mbps,
as the phone exchange was too far (yet, they once called me to ...

Validity credit cards

As my MC credit card is expiring this month, my bank (Sampo) sent me a new one.
I was a bit surprised that the expiration date for this one one is set to 12/11,
i.e. it lasts (less than) a year. Is that normal?
The debit card from the same bank that I got few months ago is valid for almost three ...

Finnish tetrapylectomy at work! I checked the text in a few other EU-languages and they all just seem to use the generic term 'space'.

Re: Mastercard World Signia and Visa Infinite

It is a shame that the bank's staff does not speak as good English as I would like them to speak. For each and every questions, they put me on hold like they were serving the first customer in their life and disappeared for 20-30 minutes and then came back with the most stupid answer that I could ...
